According Business France's eligibility conditions, the Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) is an assignment in a French company operating overseas for professionals between the age of 18 and 28 who are European Economic Area nationals (EU + Norway, Iceland und Liechtenstein).

The team and missions: 

Part of the Banking Services & Operations department, the Securities Settlement Services team specializes in the efficient and secure settlement of securities transactions.

We support investment companies, asset managers, and institutional investors by ensuring timely and accurate settlement processing. Our team manages the complexities of settlement cycles, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance, maintaining service quality through proactive monitoring and issue resolution. We serve as the primary contact for settlement-related queries and escalations, coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth transaction flows. We are also responsible for maintaining comprehensive settlement records and contributing to process improvements that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our services, thereby supporting the strategic growth of client relationships. 

 

In this context, your main missions will be:

1. Daily Business Tasks:

  • Securities Settlement: Verifying the content of settlement instructions, facilitating the accurate and timely settlement of securities transactions across domestic and international markets, investigation and clarifying of settlement discrepancies, status controls and processing of settlement confirmations.
  • Carrying out of realignments of securities 
  • Security transfers 
  • Creating daily reports and monthly statistics 
  • Cash and securities reconciliation 
  • Tax and fee handling in combination with settlement

 

2. Project Tasks: 

  • Support documentation of internal processes 
  • Participation in workshops to collect and document requirements 
  • Status reporting and Test support
